OSKRI Corp. PEACH GRANOLA

On or about May 30, 2012, a press release was issued regarding OSKRI Corp. of Lake Mills, WI.  Pursuant to this press release, a recall of the following item was issued:

  • 3.53 ounce bags of “Peach Granola”

The recall was made because this product may contain undeclared cashews.  Consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to cashews and/or other nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if this product is consumed.

According to the press release:  “The recalled ‘Peach Granola’ was distributed nationwide to travel plazas and retail stores.  The product comes in a 3.53 ounce, flexible plastic bag, UPC 666016111743, marked with the following stamp, which can be found on the front of the bag in the upper right corner:

  • P 3/3/12
  • EXP 9/9/13
  • LOT 75

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the problem.”

Product - Cafe Tasse Noir (Dark) Belgian Chocolate Bar

On April 26, 2012, Café-Tasse S.A. voluntarily recalled its 1.58 oz. Café-Tasse Noir (Dark) Belgian chocolate bar with best before date of “15 SEPT 2013”.  This product was recalled because it may contain undeclared traces of milk, which could cause allergy reactions, even life-threatening allergic reactions, to those with severe sensitivities to milk products.

This product was distributed and sold in retail stores in VA, MA, WA and CA from January 2012 through mid-April 2012.   Product is identified as 1.58 oz. (45 gr.) bar with bar code of 54000219 505504  and expiration date of 15-September 2013. It does not affect any other Café-Tasse chocolate bars or sizes.  No illnesses have been reported to date.

The FDA has issued a press release on Mrs. Weaver’s Pimento Spread.  Pursuant to this release,

“Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc. of Beaverton, OR is voluntarily recalling 653 cases of 7 oz. Mrs. Weaver’s Pimento Spread that may have been packaged into containers marked Ham Salad. The Ham Salad label does not list milk ingredients on the label. People who are allergic to milk products run the risk of serious reaction if they consume this product.

There have been no adverse reactions or illnesses reported in connection with this product … The problem was discovered by a company representative during a routine store visit. The company has advised the FDA of this voluntary recall.”
